V0 fire rated

Best in Class Fire Resistance

When it comes to fire safety, trust LSZH+ by Ledes. Through rigorous testing, we’ve shown that our products have best in class fire resistance and contain no chlorine, bromine, fluorine or iodine. While exposed to flame or moisture, they do not release any corrosive or toxic chemicals, which means a safer evacuation process in the case of a fire. With our vertical burn test conducted under UL 94:2013, we’ve demonstrated that our conduits and fittings have the highest possible fire resistance of V-O. Fire safety assurance is a core priority for Greenbuild, which is why we’re also proud members of the Fire Protection Association of Australia.

Green Star-Rated

Sustainable practices is the future of Australian construction, and we are proud members of the Green Building Council of Australia. All our Green Star-rated products are sustainably produced and verified suitable for Green Star builds. We proudly supply several large-scale Green Star rated infrastructure projects nationally.

Low temperature resistance

Temperature-resistance

Another important difference between LSZH+ by Ledes and other halogen free products in the domestic market is the broad temperature range our products can withstand. Our lab tests show that our halogen free range will withstand high and low temperature tests of 120°C and -45°C for 50 hours. This makes our range of products suitable for a range of applications, from cold storage to the harsh weather conditions of Australian solar farms.

Impact resistant

Unlike other halogen free conduit options on the market which use a PP blend, LSZH+ by Ledes uses a PC blended plastic. This gives our range far greater impact and compression resistance – meaning you can achieve a higher impact rating with a thinner wall thickness.

UV

Extreme UV Resistance

Our range of LSZH+ products are verified resistant to degradation caused by even extreme UV. Without the proper properties, UV degradation over time can lead to the loss of material strength, colour fade, and ultimately degradation. UV, or ultraviolet light, is one of the damaging environmental factors for plastics, especially in Australia. Whether it’s for a solar system or another outdoor application, make sure you keep your cables safe and protected under even the harshest of Australian UV exposure. Our complete range of protective conduits, fittings, and more will keep your cable systems safe from UV, wind, rain, pests and vermin with our complete range of cable management solutions.

Proof Of
Compliance

At Greenbuild we only supply independently tested and industry-leading materials that comply with all relevant standards. You can rest assured that when you fit your electrical cable systems with Greenbuild solutions, your cables will be protected for the long term

Testing Information

IEC61386 (High & low temperature test)

These tests evaluate the range of high and low temperature resistance of the conduits and fittings, ensuring they can withstand extreme conditions from -45°C to +120°C.

UL94 (vertical burning test)

This test determines the fire resistance rating of the conduits and fittings. The V0 rating indicates the highest level of fire resistance, followed by V1 and V2 ratings. Achieving a higher rating ensures enhanced fire safety in electrical applications.

IEC 60754 (PH and conductivity)

This test measures the pH value of the smoke produced during combustion to determine the presence of halogens. Halogens can be hazardous when released in enclosed spaces, so minimising their content is crucial for safety.

ASTM E662 (Density of smoke)

This test assesses the density of smoke emitted by the conduits and fittings. LSZH materials produce minimal smoke, which is non-toxic, reducing the potential health risks associated with smoke inhalation and visibility-reduction during fire incidents.

IEC 61386-23 (LSZH Corrugated Conduit)

This test evaluates the physical properties of the LSZH corrugated conduit, including compression resistance, temperature performance, size, and flexibility. These properties ensure the conduit’s durability and reliable performance in various applications.

IEC 61386-25 (LSZH U clips)

This test examines the physical properties and the ability of LSZH U clips to securely fix the conduits in place, preventing displacement or damage.

IEC 61386-1 (LSZH rigid conduit and fittings)

This test focuses on the physical properties of LSZH rigid conduit and fittings, including compression resistance, temperature resistance, and size. These properties ensure the conduit and fittings can withstand the demanding conditions of cable management applications.
